Certifies the quality system of organizations that procure, manufacture or supply material for Section III nuclear components, upstream of component certification itself. Its rules were first introduced in the 1973 Winter Addenda of the ASME BPVC; it remains one of the least visible but most structural certifications in the nuclear chain.
